This policy explains how Lost Found BD, operated by Shahajahan Badsha Shuvo, handles information on lostfoundbd.com and the Lost Found BD Android application.
We collect account details (name and email), contact numbers, selected location and address, lost/found report content, photos or documents you choose to upload, ownership claims, support messages, notification activity, and payment verification details such as sender number and transaction ID.
We use this information to operate accounts, review and publish reports, match items with owners, verify General Diaries and ownership claims, coordinate safe handovers, verify handling-charge payments, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support, and comply with lawful requests.
Public posts show item and general location information only. Phone numbers, private contact details, General Diary files, claim evidence, chat attachments, and payment details are restricted to authorized staff. We do not sell personal information.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access to private records is role-restricted. We retain information only as long as needed for the service, safety, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Backups may retain deleted data briefly until normal backup rotation completes.
You can request deletion from the Account & Data page. Deletion removes your account, sessions, reports, claims, messages, notifications, blocks, and associated uploads, except information that must be retained to meet a legal obligation or resolve an active safety, police, payment, or fraud matter.
